Runner is a site-specific promenade piece that uses narration and design-led installations to pull the audience into an immersive visual experience.
One member of the audience at a time embarks on a journey through a series of hidden and mysterious environments spread throughout the city and the harbour of Athens. The project is based on real world events and is explicit in its engagement with political questions. What are our obligations to act on our political beliefs? And what are the consequences of taking those actions? The show starts in the busy central station: an envelope with cryptic instructions and a map, given by a mysterious man, starts the audience on their journey to flee the country, but will it be in time?
